Will OxyMade slow down my site?

OxyMade is optimized for performance:

  • CSS framework: ~49KB (minified)
  • No frontend JavaScript required

Can I use only some features?

Yes, you can enable/disable individual features in the settings:

  • CSS framework output
  • Color features

  • Presets functionality

Syncing & Integration

Why aren’t my variables showing in Oxygen?

  1. Verify the setup wizard completed successfully
  2. Check that variables are synced (Settings page shows status)
  3. Clear Oxygen’s cache
  4. Refresh the builder page
  5. Try re-syncing variables

What happens if I change the design set?

Changing design sets will update your color palette, typography, and spacing values. This may affect existing designs that use OxyMade variables.

Recommendation: Test on staging before changing design sets on production.

Will updates overwrite my customizations?

Custom color changes made through OxyMade’s interface are preserved during updates. However, custom CSS you’ve added separately is not affected.

Troubleshooting

My colors don’t match the preview

  1. Check that sync with Oxygen is enabled
  2. Verify no custom CSS is overriding variables
  3. Clear all caches (browser, plugin, Oxygen)
  4. Re-save your color palette

Responsive classes aren’t working

  1. Ensure selectors were synced (setup step 5)
  2. Verify the breakpoint prefix is correct (lg-, not large-)
  3. Test at the correct viewport width
  4. Check browser dev tools for applied styles

I get an error when saving colors

  1. Check for PHP errors in your logs
  2. Verify your user has admin capabilities
  3. Try saving less frequently (rate limit: 10/minute)
  4. Ensure your session hasn’t expired

The plugin deactivated itself

This usually indicates a fatal error. Check:

  1. PHP error logs for the specific error
  2. That Oxygen Builder is still active
  3. Server requirements are met
  4. No conflicting plugins
